The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Asir Region, in collaboration with Asir Diabetes Care Society, organized an educational and awareness exhibition on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. The event took place last Saturday evening at the Lavanda Park Mall.
The exhibition featured various educational and training booths, including one for blood sugar level testing and another for answering visitors’ questions about diabetes. Detailed explanations were also provided on how to handle cases of low or high blood sugar.
This exhibition is part of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s efforts to join the global celebration of World Diabetes Day
observed annually on 14 November. The authority aims to offer medical and educational services to diabetes patients and conduct awareness campaigns on prevention methods.
At the end of the event, information was shared on how to enroll in the authority’s training and volunteer programs through its platforms.
