The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah Region has concluded a workshop on basic first aid skills, targeting workers at the Grand Mosque, as part of its awareness programs aimed at enhancing the readiness of personnel serving visitors to the Holy Mosque.
The workshop benefited more than 3,860 trainees from various sectors operating within the Grand Mosque. It covered both theoretical and practical aspects of handling common emergency situations, including fainting, breathing difficulties, bleeding, and minor injuries. Participants were also trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), enhancing their ability to respond effectively to critical cases.
The program was delivered in Arabic and Urdu to ensure the information reached all workers, regardless of nationality, improving their preparedness for any emergency.
These efforts reflect the Authority’s commitment to raising first aid awareness among workers at the Grand Mosque, ensuring prompt intervention in emergencies, and strengthening the overall health and emergency services provided to visitors of the Holy Mosque.
