Saudi Red Crescent Authority indicated that since the beginning of 2022 until now, 918 lectures and training courses have been conducted for the educational institutes in all over the Kingdom dedicated to over 113 thousand of members of those educational institutes.

Spokesman of SRCA, Abdulaziz Al Suwaine stated that on the occasion of the international day that corresponds to the 5th of October each year, of the Authority is very keen to spread awareness of First Aid inside educational institutes and to focus on methods of dealing with medical conditions that demand a quick intervention until the arrival of ambulatory teams in order to save lives and alleviate the suffering. This contribution will promote the availability of health safety means at educational complexes and facilities. For that, the Authority conducted a number of training courses and awareness lectures for those institutes.

Al Suwaine also added that the Authority has conducted 214 training courses since the beginning of 2022 all over the Kingdom, where Al Qassim region came first region holding those training courses with a total of 52 courses and 704 awareness lectures of various aspects of ambulatory work.

He concluded that the Authority had launched various initiatives where the most notably was "Safe School" initiative " to provide training courses to teachers and administrative staff of educational institutes in addition to students to learn on the basics of first aid including set of training courses and lectures for various range of ages.
