SRCA Air Ambulance Transports First Rescue Case from Rafha Governorate to Qassim Region
30/Aug/2024

The Command and Control Center of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority responded to transport the first medical case via air ambulance from Rafha Governorate Hospital in the Northern Borders Region to King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Al Qassim Region. The patient received intensive care during the flight, with a fully equipped medical team, until arrival at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Al Qassim.

This is the first case on this route, accomplished through coordination between the Authority's branch in Qassim, the Ministry of Health branch in Al Qassim, and Al Qassim Health Cluster.

It is noteworthy that the air ambulance in Al Qassim Region was named "Wadi Al-Rummah" during its inauguration by His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region – may Allah protect him.

Mr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Khadr, Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority's branch in Al Qassim Region, emphasized the importance of responding to such urgent medical cases through coordination and collaboration with all relevant entities. The goal is to ensure the safety of patients and ease their suffering, positively impacting their health.
