His Excellency the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Engineer Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, conducted a field inspection tour of the Authority's headquarters and centers in Taif, accompanied by leaders and officials from health sectors in the region.

During the visit, he met with several leaders of the Authority in the Makkah region, led by Dr. Mustafa bin Jamil Baljoun, General Director of the Authority’s branch in Makkah. They reviewed the work progress, achievement rates, and performance indicators since the beginning of the year. The total number of cases handled reached 244,243, distributed as follows: 119,258 cases in the Holy Capital, 83,570 cases in Jeddah, and 28,096 cases in Taif. Additionally, 178 cases were transferred via air ambulance.

As part of the visit, the Minister examined the emergency and disaster response vehicles, as well as reports on community training and awareness programs, which have offered a total of 672 courses benefiting 28,251 individuals since the start of the year.

The Minister also reviewed statistics on the volunteering programs and opportunities provided by the Authority, noting that the total number of volunteers in the region reached 13,227, including 6,348 males and 6,878 females, with a total of 216,992 volunteer hours.

At the end of the visit, the Minister emphasized the leadership's commitment to supporting the Authority's efforts in providing emergency services to citizens and residents, highlighting the importance of continuing diligent work to support the health system's strategies, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
