The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Eastern Province has concluded its participation in the Al-Ahsa Lime Exhibition, held in Al-Ahsa, as part of its core role in ensuring the safety of visitors and providing emergency medical services. The participation began on 2 September 2024 and lasted for 10 days.
Dr. Khalid bin Radi Al-Enzi, Director General of the Authority's branch in the Eastern Province, stated that a specialized emergency team, including staff and volunteers, was designated to provide medical services to exhibition attendees. Eight volunteer teams of healthcare professionals, totaling 64 volunteers, provided emergency medical services for 237 cases, with only 4 requiring hospital transport via ambulances.
The Eastern Province branch has also contributed to various environmental and agricultural initiatives, as well as volunteer efforts aimed at providing emergency services and awareness to visitors at exhibitions and events.
Through such participation, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority aims to ensure the safety of participants and deliver immediate medical assistance to those in need, contributing to saving lives from the moment emergencies occur.
