The Saudi Red Crescent Authority signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Al Saud Endowment, under the patronage of H.E the minister of health and chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, on the sidelines of the Authority’s participation in the Global Health Exhibition 2024, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center - Malham, from October 21 to 23, 2024. The memorandum aims to activate the community partnership between the two parties, supporting and sponsoring initiatives, volunteer work, and volunteers during seasons and events.

The Memorandum stipulates that the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Al Saud Endowment will provide logistical, technical, and developmental support to the volunteers and volunteering opportunities offered by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority across all seven areas of volunteering. These include EMS volunteering, volunteer EMS teams, flexible positioning points during seasons and events, and any additional tasks throughout the year.

The Saudi Red Crescent will support joint activities agreed upon by both parties, following the specific mechanism for each program. Meanwhile, the Princess Seetah Endowment will provide various products during different events, where SRCA volunteers will assist with distribution and dissemination, under joint supervision, with reports documenting and highlighting the efforts.

The MoC also includes activating the humanitarian volunteering role of SRCA and supporting available programs through the Princess Seetah Endowment. Additionally, the endowment will offer incentive programs and rewards for SRCA volunteers. Furthermore, the endowment will provide technical support for developing an app equivalent to the Saudi Red Crescent's volunteer platform, making it easily accessible to volunteers. This will include integration with related SRCA applications according to the available capabilities of both parties and a mutually agreed-upon mechanism.

The Memorandum highlights the importance of notifying each party if they require a program not already available, with both sides agreeing on the program and determining the implementation mechanisms and roles in accordance with volunteer program guidelines. The Memorandum operational mechanism involves each party designating a contact person to coordinate the implementation of its provisions and forming a joint working group consisting of specialists from both sides to activate areas of cooperation. Additionally, sub-working groups can be formed as needed to address any specific topics.
