His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, governor of the Northern Borders Region, was briefed today on the 2024 performance indicators of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s branch in the region.

The meeting, which was attended by several regional officials, reviewed the branch’s key achievements, including response time indicators for emergency medical reports, traffic accidents, and urgent cases. The discussion also covered efforts made to enhance ambulance services and public awareness initiatives, as well as the development of volunteer projects in the region.

Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan commended the efforts of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and its pioneering role in serving the injured and the sick. He stressed the importance of continuing to improve the quality of emergency services in the region and developing qualified personnel, praising the dedication and exceptional efforts of ambulance teams and volunteers working tirelessly in the field to achieve these successes.

For his part, the Director of the Authority’s regional branch, Mr. Musa'ad Al-Enzi, presented an overview of the branch’s main accomplishments in 2024, highlighting that the Authority achieved a 96.5% beneficiary satisfaction rate. He also noted significant improvements in response time indicators, with the average overall emergency response time reduced from 9 minutes and 13 seconds at the beginning of the year to 7 minutes and 15 seconds by year’s end.

He pointed out that the response time for traffic accidents saw a remarkable improvement, dropping from 14 minutes to 7 minutes and 48 seconds, while the response rate to urgent reports increased from 53% to 69%.

The meeting included contributions from field medics and volunteers of the Saudi Red Crescent branch in the region, who expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and recognition by His Royal Highness the Emir of the Northern Borders Region, which motivates them to exert greater efforts to develop ambulance services and enhance emergency and volunteer work in the region. The participants also emphasized the importance of cooperation and integration with partners in both the public and private sectors to improve performance indicators and achieve greater future successes.
