The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Eastern Region has released its statistics for the Command and Control Center and the emergency cases it handled during February 2025.
According to the report, the Control and Command Center received a total of 33,215 calls, including 7,519 emergency reports classified by the Authority as critical cases requiring immediate medical assistance. Additionally, the “Asefni” (Help Me) app registered 272 emergency reports during the same month.
The Authority noted that it handled a total of 8,185 emergency cases in February. Of these, 5,523 cases were provided with on-site medical care and transported to hospitals, while 2,662 cases received emergency medical care on-site without the need for hospital transport. These cases were managed by highly trained and qualified medical teams using modern medical equipment available in the ambulance units.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority operates with full readiness 24/7, prepared to receive emergency calls via the emergency medical service number (997) or through the “Asafny” app, available on smart devices.
The Authority calls on all citizens and residents during the holy month of Ramadan to cooperate with paramedics, make way for ambulances during emergencies, and avoid crowding at accident scenes, as this may hinder emergency teams from providing medical care and fulfilling their humanitarian duties.
They concluded the statement with Ramadan greetings, wishing everyone a blessed and accepted fast and forgiveness from Allah.
