As part of the ongoing “And Whoever Saves One Life…” initiative previously launched by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority — along with the activation of the “Mua'ath Project,” which aims to enhance emergency preparedness and safety in workplaces and institutional environments —
Al-Buraik Mosque in Dhariah Governorate, Al-Qassim Region, has joined many other entities that have taken the initiative to provide and activate this life-saving device. The activation took place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in the presence of the Governor of Dhariah and the Supervisor of the Sixth Emergency Sector of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s branch in Al-Qassim.
Mr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Khadr, Director General of the Authority's branch in Al-Qassim, emphasized the importance of implementing such initiatives and expanding the deployment of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in public areas and locations with high foot traffic — such as government and private facilities, mosques, hospitality venues, shelters, sports cities, and shopping malls. He also highlighted the importance of training staff in these locations to use the devices and equipping them with CPR skills to intervene effectively in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.
Such efforts contribute to minimizing the consequences of cardiac arrest and ensuring rapid, effective responses that help preserve lives within the workplace environment.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority is keen to expand the deployment of AED devices in collaboration with various sectors, ensuring their presence in community-dense locations to uphold the principle of safety for all.
