Volunteers of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Al-Jouf region continued their humanitarian efforts during the holy month of Ramadan by distributing iftar meals throughout the region’s streets and public squares. This initiative is part of the “Futorkom Alayna” (Your Iftar Is on Us) campaign, which aims to promote social solidarity and reinforce the values of volunteerism.
More than 50 male and female volunteers participated in the initiative, ensuring that iftar meals were delivered to fasting individuals—especially during peak hours before Maghrib prayer—to ease the burden of travel for commuters and passersby.
Dr. Mamdouh bin Nahi Al-Ruwaili, Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority's branch in Al-Jouf, praised the efforts of the volunteers, emphasizing that volunteer work is a key pillar in strengthening social cohesion and serving the community—particularly during the holy month.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority confirmed that these efforts fall within its Ramadan volunteer plans, aimed at serving the community and fostering the spirit of giving.
The Authority also commended the active role played by volunteers in providing support and assistance during various events and seasons, noting the strong engagement in the initiative as a reflection of the humanitarian spirit that characterizes the people of the Kingdom.
