As part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to strengthen international humanitarian cooperation and support communities in need, SRCA has donated two modern ambulance vehicles equipped with the latest medical technologies to the Cameroon Red Cross.
This initiative aligns with the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing the capacities of national societies in need and promoting international humanitarian work, in line with the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement by providing aid without discrimination.
The handover ceremony took place in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Cameroon, Mr. Khalid Al-Muneef, along with prominent figures including the President of the Cameroon Red Cross and representatives from the Cameroonian Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, and Health. The event also saw participation from international organization officials, including Mr. Aadesh Khan, Head of the IFRC Central Africa Office, as well as representatives of national societies operating in Cameroon.
During the ceremony, SRCA reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian principles and its dedication to assisting those in need without discrimination, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in supporting joint efforts to provide urgent medical care and save lives.
This contribution reflects Saudi Arabia’s leading role in supporting global humanitarian initiatives and fostering cooperation between national societies within the framework of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
