The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah Region, represented by the Training Department, announced the implementation of a series of specialized training programs and courses during the month of July 2025. These programs benefited more than 5,900 individuals from various segments of society and sectors.

These efforts come as part of the Authority’s plan to enhance community health awareness and improve the efficiency of dealing with emergency cases. The implemented programs included the following:

Life Ambassador Program for First Aid: Benefited 1,665 participants and is considered one of the most prominent community programs for spreading the culture of first aid.

Basic Skills Program: Trained 2,644 beneficiaries on the fundamentals of emergency work and rescue skills.

Mua'ath Initiative to Promote First Aid Safety in Workplaces: Benefited 105 participants.

Basic Skills Trainer Preparation Program: Graduated 47 certified trainers to support the wider dissemination of first aid skills.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Program: Conducted for 21 beneficiaries from healthcare and community personnel.

Single Skill Program: Benefited 1,456 participants, focusing on quick and focused training in a specific first aid skill.

Additionally, 5 field visits were conducted in cooperation with the Health Cluster to assess the quality of basic skills application in healthcare facilities.

The Training Department affirmed that these programs are a continuation of the Authority’s efforts to achieve the objectives of health transformation, enhance community preparedness, and ensure effective response to emergency cases by empowering individuals with the necessary life-saving skills.
