The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Najran region organized the "Walk Together" sport event on Thursday, 8 August 2024, at the Al-Ukhdood Sports Stadium. The event saw participation from the Authority’s employees, volunteers, and members of the community.

The event featured two informational booths showcasing the services provided by the Authority, in addition to offering emergency medical services. It also included activities aimed at raising community awareness of the importance of learning first aid, with two booths dedicated to enhancing public knowledge on this topic.

Notably, over 115 participants from various segments of the community took part in the event, supported by four on-foot medical teams to monitor their health and safety.

The Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Najran region, Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Asiri, expressed that the "Let's Walk Together" event aims to promote awareness of the importance of exercise for maintaining health and preventing chronic diseases, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes. The event also aims to help reduce harmful cholesterol levels and burn excess calories.

The participation of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the "Walk Together" initiative reflects its commitment to its national and humanitarian role in supporting and sponsoring community activities.
