EMD teams of SRCA have completed their readiness with more than 96 dispatchers to serve the Guests of Allah in this year’s Hajj season1445 AH, as the EMD teams are the first start of the EMS service provided by SRCA, represented by its ground and air teams, to serve the pilgrims of the Holy Mosque of Allah.
The official spokesman of SRCA in the Hajj season, Dr. Yousef Alsofayan, confirmed that SRCA has distributed coordinators with the relevant authorities to facilitate the tasks of the EMS teams with other sectors ,to reach quickly the emergency case , and to coordinate patient transport procedures in order to save time and effort by transporting the injured people to the nearest specialized health facility to provide care for the Guests of Al-Rahman, indicating that SRCA has developed the technical aspect in EMD center to achieve the highest rate of response speed, as they work in 3 shifts 24/7.

Dr. Alsofayan explained that the report goes through several stages, including receiving the report, taking the caller’s information and the location of the emergency case with high accuracy, identifying the necessary resources for the response, and providing pre-arrival instructions to the first responder in order to reach the injured person through the fastest way to provide EMS service to the pilgrims of the Holy Mosque of Allah. Employees have also been allocated to follow up the report so they can coordinate between EMS teams, those requesting EMS service, and the health facility, to facilitate the reception of patients and activate specialized pathways by the medical control for many cases. He pointed out that volunteers who speak different languages have been allocated to receive reports via 997 and electronic applications, and to provide pre-arrival instructions before EMS teams arrive according to the approved protocol.
