The efforts of 90 Saudi female paramedics align with the ambulance teams of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority around the clock, providing emergency medical services to patients and casualties, especially with the advancements in the technical and professional systems of the authority, in line with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030.

The daily efforts of female paramedics highlight stories of dedication, sincerity, and passion for their work. During long working hours, they encounter various humanitarian situations. The performance of Saudi Red Crescent paramedics across the Kingdom reflects remarkable progress, with effective involvement in field emergency services.

The roles of female paramedics within the Saudi Red Crescent Authority ambulance teams encompass various functions, including medical and emergency care, health education to raise awareness, as well as serving pilgrims during Hajj and Umrah seasons.

Emergency medical specialist at the authority, paramedic Sharifa Al-Bunaqah, discussed the nature of dealing with emergency cases, requiring readiness and preparedness throughout working hours under fieldwork conditions. They handle various cases with varying levels of severity from a humanitarian perspective, emphasizing that paramedics undergo continuous training courses, in addition to gaining experience from daily work.

The role of Saudi women in providing humanitarian services extends beyond national borders. In this regard, Al-Bunaqah stated, "In 2022, Saudi women joined fieldwork as paramedics in the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, quickly playing a prominent and effective role in emergency medical work. As a result, they participated in the first field response team sent by the authority to international crises and disasters, such as the earthquakes in Turkey in 2023. They were the first female paramedics to participate in the response team, demonstrating their readiness for any emergency."

She emphasized that female and male paramedics play an effective role in rescuing patients and casualties, providing necessary first aid, and participating in awareness campaigns and educational courses in collaboration with the Saudi search and rescue team.

It is worth noting that the ambulance teams of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority provided their services to 1,300,000 cases throughout the Kingdom during 2023.
