The Saudi Red Crescent celebrated yesterday, on the occasion of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, with a series of events, exhibitions, and conferences in all its branches across the Kingdom.

The events varied between organizing marches on main roads in the regions and governorates, holding educational lectures and training courses to raise community awareness, participating in exhibitions to spread first aid culture and introduce the public to the role of the Saudi Red Crescent, highlighting the services provided, humanitarian and relief efforts.

The celebration of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day comes to reaffirm the importance of the principles of the international movement to uphold human dignity and alleviate human suffering through humanitarian actions, especially in the face of conflicts, disasters, and crises. It also aims to highlight the great efforts made by the organizations and associations affiliated with the Red Cross and Red Crescent, including the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, in providing various humanitarian services, first aid to the injured, and relief assistance in many countries around the world.

The events organized by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority witnessed a significant turnout from the public, who showed great interest and notable interaction with the activities. The Authority considered this an opportunity to enhance community engagement, strengthen its relationship with the external and internal audience, and an important occasion to highlight the achievements of the Saudi Red Crescent and promote public awareness and the dissemination of first aid culture in all its aspects.
