The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has completed all its preparations to receive and serve Guests of Allah for this year's Hajj season in 1445 H. It has allocated all its resources, including human resources and its fleet of ground and air ambulance services, consisting of ambulances, disaster response vehicles, and rapid response units, in addition to air ambulance aircraft, motorcycles, and golf carts equipped for field ambulance operations, utilizing technological aspects in its emergency work to provide high-quality ambulance services.
The official spokesperson for the Authority, Dr. Yousef Al Sofayan, affirmed that the Authority is participating in this year's Hajj within the vision and mission of Saudi Vision 2030 and Pilgrims Experience Program, aiming to provide high-quality services to guests of Allah during Hajj seasons under the slogan "Ease and Tranquility". It has provided over 2540 medical and administrative personnel, including doctors, specialists, emergency medical technicians, distributed across 98 ambulance centers in the entry points, Hajj routes, the holy capital, the Sacred Mosque in Mecca, and the holy sites.
Dr. Al Al Sofayan also pointed out that the Authority is employing a select group of administrative personnel to enhance readiness, planning, and logistical support to ensure operational sustainability of ambulance services. Additionally, it is supporting its field personnel with more than 694 units from its ambulance fleet, consisting of 320 ambulances, 13 advanced response vehicles, 7 air ambulance aircraft, 2 medical evacuation aircraft, 15 motorcycles, 150 golf carts, 150 electric scooters, 27 electric bicycles, and 10 ambulance buses, along with service vehicles to support both ambulance and administrative work during this year's Hajj mission.
He highlighted the involvement of over 96 medical transfer personnel in the holy capital this year, as well as the presence of translators in multiple languages to support the reception and transfer of emergency reports tailored to common cases during Hajj seasons, providing instructions before the arrival of ambulance teams to increase survival chances and improve quality of life through prompt response to the first responder. He explained that the Authority has supported Hajj operations with over 595 volunteers working under the umbrella of the volunteer team in various medical and ambulance specialties, contributing to the provision of ambulance services at various sites and working on educating and raising awareness among pilgrims about important preventive measures against diseases and injuries.
He further stated that the Authority has mobilized all its resources and capabilities to serve the guests of the Merciful for the Hajj season by providing the best ambulance services to pilgrims and participants through the deployment of ambulance teams and ensuring rapid access to emergency cases. He noted that preparation for the Hajj program began immediately after the conclusion of last year's Hajj season.
