the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al Medina region conducted a training drill in collaboration with relevant authorities as part of its preparations for the Hajj season of 1445 H. This drill aimed to ensure the readiness of both ground and air ambulance teams to handle any emergencies that may occur during the pilgrims' journey and their performance of Hajj rituals, Allah willing.

The scenario simulated a bus accident on Hijra Road, resulting in 10 injured individuals: six with minor injuries, two with moderate injuries, and two in critical condition, who were transported by air ambulance.

The purpose of these drills by the SRCA is to mitigate risks that could jeopardize the safety of pilgrims and public and private properties. They also aim to assess the readiness of human and material resources to respond to such incidents, restore situations, and enhance coordination and efforts with relevant authorities, ensuring the pilgrims perform their rituals safely and securely.
