Dr. Jalal bin Mohammed Al Owaisi, President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, received a delegation from the Pakistani Red Crescent Society, headed by the Chairman of the Society, Mr. Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari, and his accompanying delegation at the Authority's headquarters in Riyadh. This visit aimed to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise between the two parties in the humanitarian and relief fields.

During the visit, meetings were held between the two parties to discuss aspects of cooperation, enhance dialogue, and reaffirm the commitment to humanitarian work in both good times and bad. Dr. Jalal Al Owaisi appreciated the complementary and coordinated role between the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Pakistani Red Crescent Society in relief, humanitarian, and volunteering work, under the umbrella of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The visit included a presentation of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority's volunteering platform, showcasing the volunteering journey from registration to active participation. The delegation was also briefed on the Authority's work in training and community awareness. Furthermore, the delegation toured the Air Ambulance Operations Center, where they observed the air ambulance journey from receiving the call to the aircraft's arrival at the nearest hospital. The visiting delegation also inspected the National Ambulance Center and reviewed the overall ambulance journey. Additionally, they were shown the specialized vehicles used by the Authority during disasters and crises.
