The Authority has completed its preparations for receiving and serving guests of Allah in Hajj season 1444 H, mobilizing all its human resources and its fleet of ground and air ambulatory services, including ambulances, large disaster vehicles, and rapid response vehicles. In addition to air ambulances, motorcycles, bicycles, and electric vehicles to support field ambulatory operations and employ technical aspects in its ambulance work to provide high-quality ambulance services.
The Authority participates in this Hajj season with approximately 2,200 health practitioners distributed throughout the entire journey of the pilgrim from their arrival in the Kingdom to their safe departure.
The Authority also provided approximately 600 employees of human resources for logistical support for field workers by dividing them into several teams and units to serve and provide all capabilities to life ambassadors. The Authority supports human resources with over 400 of its ambulatory fleet, including the latest dedicated air ambulance aircraft, specialized response vehicles, and ambulances equipped with the latest medical equipment and modern technology for recording vital signs and transferring them directly to hospitals before the arrival of patients, in a step towards faster response and identifying the required specialty upon receiving the patient.
The Authority also participates with more than 230 Emergency Medical Dispatchers in the Holy Capital city of Makkah, serving in 9 languages, which are the most common and used by pilgrims, to facilitate communication with the beneficiaries and deal with medical emergency calls, monitor the patient by the medical team until the arrival of ambulance teams, and transfer them to appropriate health facilities.
Over 2,300 volunteers from the Authority contribute to support ambulance teams in the Holy Grand Mosques, sacred sites, land and airports, and facilitating the journey of pilgrims with various humanitarian services, in addition to educational and awareness programs for pilgrims on first aid and other ambulance skills.
The preparations of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority for the Hajj season of 1444 H was not recently initiated, but it began at the end of the Hajj season of 1443 AH to contribute in improving the quality of ambulance services by monitoring all positives and negatives, passing through several developmental stages, and applying many scenarios with other government agencies, ensuring the readiness of ambulance teams and their preparedness to deal with any emergency that may occur during the performance of rituals, God forbid, avoiding risks that may affect the safety of pilgrims and protecting the Authority's resources and properties, ensuring that the pilgrims perform the rituals in safety and security, and achieving an exceptional Hajj season that meets the aspirations of our wise leadership.
