The branch of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Taif province responded to 67,485 calls during the year 2023, varying between traffic accidents and medical cases. The branch explained that the calls varied between medical cases, with the highest percentage being 36,071 calls, while traffic accidents came second with 31,414 calls. It emphasized that the emergency teams dealt efficiently with these calls, using specialized human resources and vehicles equipped with the latest equipment necessary to provide comprehensive emergency services.

The branch also mentioned that it possesses an ambulance fleet equipped with the latest emergency technologies to deal with disasters and emergencies, consisting of several buses and fully equipped vehicles to handle various emergency situations, in addition to ambulance vehicles, quad bikes, golf carts, and motorcycles.

It is worth noting that the number of emergency centers in the province reached 24 centers operating 24 hours a day, serving Taif and nearby provinces with their teams of doctors, specialists, and emergency medical technicians.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority receives requests for emergency services through the number 997 or through the "Asefni" application, which allows users to create a report via mobile phone, summon an ambulance team, request assistance by sending a distress call, check the status of the report, track its progress, and enables emergency teams to locate the caller's location. It also provides information on nearby health facilities, emergency numbers, and other relief organizations.
