SRCA is participating in the "Global Communication Forum by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement" hosted by the Jordan Red Crescent Society in Amman from 12 to 14th of June 2023, in cooperation with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The conference attended by 180 communication specialists from various parties of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement from 80 countries, as well as representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and representatives of national societies from around the world. The aim is to strengthen and protect the international community's confidence in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
SRCA represented by the Director General of Corporate Communication, Fawaz bin Mohsen Al-Shibani who affirmed the Authority's awareness of its humanitarian role in preventing and alleviating human suffering and pain without discrimination or differentiation in treatment for any reason, and to ensure effective communication with all segments of the society to meet their humanitarian needs. The media aims to humanize coverage by highlighting the various aspects of suffering to achieve a better response and alleviate the burden on the most vulnerable groups, which contributes to building trust and acceptance among communities.
Al-Shibani said that the forum will focus on the requirements for media development by qualifying media cadres to benefit from in the future in harnessing modern technologies in the service of the media messages of the Red Crescent and Red Cross organizations to guide their messages to societies.
