The Saudi Red Crescent Authority, represented by the Medical Supply and Equipment Unit, supplied the ambulances participating in Hajj this year, through (medical supply consumables boxes), where each ambulance is equipped with three different categories.

The medical supply unit has prepared more than 10,000 boxes containing 10 million pieces of medical consumables, in addition to a reserve balance of 5 million medical supplies at supply points, through which it is easy to ensure that the field continuously is supplied without deficiency.

The three-category consumables box system can provide emergency medical service for (20-30) normal emergency cases, and (15-20) acute and critical cases, in addition, each ambulance contains basic materials such as shock devices, an oxygen cylinder, a vital sign monitors, in addition to suction devices, wooden splints, cervical splints, and limb immobilization.

The leader of the Support, Logistics and Equipment Branch, Dr. Ahmed Bafaqih, explained that SRCA mainly depends on this unit in the Holy Sites, also this unit determines  the quantities of medicines and medical supplies required for the Hajj and provides them.
