Operation centers in the Saudi Red Crescent Authority responded to over 67 thousand emergency calls during the month of October, with 47033 of those cases transferred to different hospitals and health institutes.
SRCA spokesman Abdulaziz Al Suwaine stated that ordinary patient cases this month were the highest received with over 26 thousand, followed by car accident cases with over 15 thousand, and then loss of consciousness cases with nearly 13 thousand.
Makkah region received the highest number of emergency calls, with a total of 20594 cases, including 7093 cases for ordinary patients, 2684 cases of car accidents, and 2080 cases of breathing problems. Then came Riyadh region, with a total of 17779 cases treated, including 3789 cases for ordinary patients, 3122 cases for car accidents, and 2602 cases for loss of consciousness.
In third place came the Eastern region with 7800 cases treated, including 2266 cases for ordinary patients, 2091 cases of breathing problems, and 1321 cases of car accidents. After that came Al Madinah region, with a total of 5843 cases treated, including 1979 cases for ordinary patients, 680 cases for breathing problems, and 622 cases of car accidents.
Asir region came in the 5th position of cases treated with the total of 4102 cases including 964 cases for ordinary patients, then 797 cases for car accidents and 520 cases of breathing problems. Then Al Qassim region with the total of 3005 cases treated including 869 cases for ordinary patients, then 475 cases of car accidents and 364 cases for loss of consciousness. Jazan region came next with the total of 2037 cases including 609 cases for ordinary patients, and 385 cases of car accidents and 186 cases for breathing problems.
Al Suwaine indicated that Tabuk region came in 8th place with a total of 1870 cases treated, including 642 cases for ordinary patients, 315 cases for car accidents, and 153 cases for loss of consciousness; then Hail region came in with a total of 1527 cases treated, including 364 cases for ordinary patients, 228 for car accidents, and another 176 cases of stomach pains and problems. Al Baha region followed with a total of 931 cases treated, including 354 cases for ordinary patients, 199 cases for car accidents, and 107 cases for loss of consciousness.
Al Jouf, Najran, and the Northern Border regions received the lower number of emergency cases this month, with a total of 770 cases in Al Jouf, including 209 cases for ordinary patients, 132 cases for loss of consciousness, and 132 cases for car accidents. Najran received 799 emergency cases, including 228 cases for ordinary patients and 139 car accident cases. The Northern Borders received a total of 650 cases, including 234 cases for ordinary patients, 102 car accident cases, and 82 cases for loss of consciousness.
