His Excellency the Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority received the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al Jalajel, and the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, in an official visit aimed at enhancing humanitarian cooperation between the Kingdom and the International Committee. The visit included fruitful meetings discussing ways of coordination and joint efforts to support vulnerable communities and provide humanitarian relief in the most affected areas around the world.
The Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Board emphasized that “this meeting represents a new step towards a strategic partnership, aiming to provide aid to affected communities and to continue our approach that reflects our deep humanitarian values and the Kingdom’s vision for a safer and more stable future”.
During the meetings, efforts were reviewed that aimed at strengthen the role of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in quickly responding to disasters and crises, highlighting the Kingdom’s leading role in supporting humanitarian cases. Ms. Egger renewed her appreciation for the humanitarian role undertaken by the authority, emphasizing the importance of continuous cooperation to alleviate suffering and boost hope.
The visit reflects a shared commitment to humanitarian principles and solidarity, enhancing the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s capacity to fulfill its mission in supporting humanitarian work at both regional and international levels.
